We are thrilled to host HD2024, the Hereditary Disease Foundation’s 13th Milton Wexler Biennial Symposium! This event will be held from Wednesday, August 7 through Saturday, August 10, 2024 in Cambridge, MA.

The conference will begin on Wednesday evening with a special session, followed by a welcome reception, and end on Saturday evening after the New England Clambake celebration.

The Hereditary Disease Foundation’s first biennial meeting in 1998, named in honor of the Foundation’s founder, had 75 participants. In 2024, we look forward to welcoming some 300 of the world’s foremost experts in Huntington’s disease and other neurological diseases.

For three days, scientists will share their latest discoveries and explore cutting-edge approaches to research, sparking discussions of new ways to design and create therapies for Huntington’s disease and other brain disorders like Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease and Lou Gehrig’s disease.

All attendees, whether from universities or companies, are invited to present their latest data – through talks, panels, datablitzes, and poster sessions.

ABSTRACTS

HD2024 registrants are generally expected to be an author/co-author on at least one abstract . The FINAL deadline to submit your abstract is May 23, 2024. ABSTRACTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AFTER THAT DATE. Datablitz presentations will be selected based on abstracts.

PLEASE NOTE: your complete abstract (including title, authors, affiliations, body, and support) needs to fit on one (1) 8.5×11 inch page. We will be formatting the abstracts. If your abstract exceeds the maximum length, we will return it to you for resubmission.

POSTERS

We encourage everyone to present their data in a poster, even if your abstract has been selected for a talk. This provides all conference attendees an opportunity to learn about your current and exciting work. Poster boards should be 4 feet X 4 feet. Posters are scheduled for presentation on Thursday evening (August 8) and Friday evening (August 9).

COVID

There are currently no COVID regulations in place. If you don’t feel well, please stay home. Consider wearing a face mask during the meeting if it makes you feel more comfortable.
