The Hereditary Disease Foundation was thrilled to have honoree Carol Burnett highlight the work of the HDF, with a special dedication to our President, Nancy Wexler, at Variety’s Power of Women event in LA this past Thursday presented by Lifetime. As a supporter of HDF for over 40 years, and Lifetime Director of HDF, Carol’s passion for the foundation was palpable. Before her speech, the room erupted in a standing ovation. HDF Celebrates Research
The Hereditary Disease Foundation hosted a spectacular event at The Franklin Institute in downtown Philadelphia, featuring The Brain exhibit, celebrating the Huntington’s disease community and the science behind the research. We were moved as individuals shared their personal stories of the generational impact of HD. The 2023 recipients of HDF’s $1 million Transformative Research Awards, Beverly Davidson, Leslie Thompson, and Jang-Ho Cha, spotlighted the incredible strides toward treatments for Huntington’s disease.
